Give thanks tutorial

Give thanks, that's what Fall is all about! So I decided to make something fun for my front porch.

Start with a blank slab of wood, mine is 12inches x 4 feet
Pick a paint color and paint your whole board. I did mine a dark brown.

Once your paint has dried, sand all the edges with a small sander or a piece of sandpaper.
I used my Cricut machine to cut out the letters I wanted out of scrapbook paper. If you do not have a cricut machine, you can also out line and paint your own letters by hand or use a stencil.

Once you have all your letters cut out, Line them up where you want them, and it's time to break out the Modge Podge
You can carefully coat the back of your letters with a layer of Modge Podge and put them on one at a time. Make sure as you put them down, you keep rubbing the letters in a circular motion until they are firmly dried down. This is so your letters do not bubble. As soon as they are all dry, you can brush a light coat of Modge Podge over your whole board to help seal it.
This is your finished product! I also added a cup hook to the top and hung a small grapevine wreath, I love the way it turned out.. Let me know what you think???

I had the opportunity to go repelling for the first time, and let me tell you this was an amazing experience. My heart was racing so fast, I thought it was going to pop out of my chest, but I knew If I didn't do it I would regret it. Let's face it I am not getting any younger, but it was well worth it, and a fun time as well! Definitely a little scary putting your trust in others, and a rope:)
Fun Oct. 31st sign, I will post a Tutorial tomorrow, check in with us! Please follow our page so we know who likes what we are posting:)

I am the Mother of six beautiful children, and love every minute of it. I have one boy, and Yes some days he does feel a little stressed out with all the girls in the house.  I have been in the crafting industry for the last 13 years or so, and have enjoyed the freedom of being able to do what I love as well as raise my children. I have not been very faithful to this blog and I am trying to redeem myself as I learn more and more about blogging. I love to see all the different blogs and the creativity that flows through our nation, and want to support that. In the future I hope to be posting some awesome tutorials, and sharing things that are inspiring. So hopefully a few of you will come along for the ride.

I forgot, I have also been attempting to make handmade cards. It is really fun and easy to do, and I think from now on I will make all my own cards:) I still need lots of practice!
I had so much fun painting these, they were so simple, and I think they turned out so fun!

Fun day Painting!

It's 10:30 P.M. and here I am again searching the web for new fun ideas to share with all of you:) I had a great day at the shop today, painted 3 new pumpkin signs for Halloween. I will post pictures so you can let me know what you think! I spent half of the morning a little teary eyed, my oldest daughter is serving a mission, and I get to email her once a week:) that is an anxious, teary, sad part of my week. I miss her so much, yet I am so proud of her, and therefore as a mother of 6 and a woman, I turn into a faucet that does not stop running. So back to crafting, does anyone else feel totally calm and peaceful when they craft?? I just love sitting down, and letting the creative flow run free. I am still working on figuring out how to post pictures, and have my Facebook, blog, pinterest and such link up. I am slow, but one of these days I will figure it out. Then I will start posting more tutorials and such♥ Thank you for reading my blog, and I would love for you to check back in soon! Also we do have a Face book page Apple Country Crafts, check it out!
